JANUARY:

 Palm Springs International Film Festival – The most prestigious film festival makes its way in to Palm Springs for a two-week affair that begins at the end of the first week in January and runs non-stop 14 days at five venues; Camelot Theatres, Regal Theatres, Palm Springs High School, the Palm Canyon Theatre, and The Annenberg Theatre.  

 Bob Hope Chrysler Classic – A professional golf tournament that is a part of the PGA Tour'S early season west coast swing.  Well known for its celebrity pro-am attended by presidents, Hollywood stars and other dignitaries.

Southwest Arts Festival – More than 300 artists will showcase and sell their works during the weekend at the 25th annual Southwest Arts Festival at the Empire Polo Club in Indio.

Desert Plein Air/La Quinta Arts Foundation Exhibition – Over 50 plein air painters converge on La Quinta for 6 days to compete for prizes and to exhibit and sell their work.

Indio Desert Circuit – Prize-jumping horses converge on Indio, performing and competing.

FEBRUARY:

 Tour de Palm Springs – A bicycling event with multiple distances that is ideal for beginners.

 Riverside County Fair and National Date Festival – A 10-day event at the Riverside County Fairgrounds that include fantastic food, exhibits, carnival rides and entertainment.

 Frank Sinatra Celebrity Invitational – The marquee golf and fundraising event in Palm Springs that brings celebrities, amateur contestants, loyal sponsors and enthusiastic spectators together.

 Black History Festival and Parade – Marching thru downtown Palm Springs and leading to the Palm Springs Stadium were food, exhibits and entertainment stretch into the evening.

 Keith McCormick's Palm Springs Exotic Car Show & Auction – The Spa Resort & Casino will host a gathering all types of vehicles for sale and show.

 The Desert Classic - Desert Speed Week begins with exciting vintage car races at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway and culminates with the prestigious Desert Classic Concours d'Elegance at the legendary La Quinta Resort & Club.

MARCH:

 BNP Paribas Open – A two-week combined ATP World Tour Masters 1000 and Sony Ericsson WTA Tour Premeir event featuring the top men and women professional players competing in singles and double events.

 La Quinta Arts Festival – Sculptures, paintings, photography, drawings, fine crafts, and printmaking on display accompanied by live entertainment, food, wine and children's activities.

 Crossroads Renaissance Festival – Southern Calfornia's only nighttime Renaissance festival that includes dancing, music, magic, juggling, theatre, crafts and food held at Frances Steven Park.

 Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards – A Dinner, Awards ceremony and entertainment venue that fills the night at the Palm Springs Convention Center.

 Morrow Institute Women Running Wild – Women from all over and from all ages run and walk thru the Palm Springs area.

 Dinah Shore Weekend – Women from all over gather in Palm Springs for a four-day weekend with parties held all over town.

 Swing'n Dixie Jazz Festival – The finest Dixieland, Swing Jazz and traditional bands in the country gather at Sunrise Park in Palm Springs.

 Cabazon Band of Mission Indians Indio Powwow – Tribal members come together at Fantasy Springs Casino to dance and sing and cultivate old and new friendships.

 Palm Springs International Playwriting Festival – the best and the brightest of the writing world come from all over at the end of the month.

 Alexander Weekend – A full weekend of tours, seminars, cocktail receptions and special tributes to be hosted at a variety of sites throughout the weekend.

 Native American Film & Art Festival – View 12 features & short films produced by Native Americans at The Camelot Theatres.

APRIL:

 Kraft Nabisco Championship – Women's LPGA professional golf tournament held at the Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage.

 Opera in the Park – A daylong concert of arias that will be held at Sunrise Park and free to the public.

 The Living Desert's Earth Day – Celebrate conservation by learning about solar power, water conservation, desert living, recycled crafts and more.

 Coachella Music Festival – One of the most popular Music Festivals, a variety of music performance by some of the hottest bands for three rollicking days.

 Stagecoach – The nation's most beloved country music performers gather at the Empire Polo Club for a weekend long event.

 International Art Fair – Artists and Galleries exhibit at the Palm Springs Convention Center.

 The White Party – Annual dance, disco, and pool party throughout the greater Palm Springs

MAY:

 Annual Elvis Honeymoon Weekend – A two-day concert at the Honeymoon Hideaway were friends gather to reminisce and remember.

 Smooth Jazz Festival – Jazz musicians from all over the country participate in this annual fundraiser held at the O'Donnell Golf Club.

 Opera in the Park – A variety of Voice types and styles converge on Sunrise Park to display their talents.

JUNE:

 Jam Session at Melvyn's – Local amateur musicians perform afternoon sessions throughout the month.

 A Weekend with the King –A gathering of Elvis' closest friends who will reminisce about Elivs Pressley.

 Film Noir Festival – This unique festival features an elect mixture of landmark and obscure vintage movies from the classic film noir era, held at the Camelot Theatres.

 Palm Springs Power Baseball Season Opener – Come out to the ballpark for great food, drinks, fun and one of the best collegiate-level teams in America.

JULY:

 All American Fourth of July – A variety of activities at the Palm Springs Stadium.

 Desert Film Society – A new film is screened at The Camelot Theatres followed by a discussion.

 Street Fair – The city of Palm Desert hosts arts, crafts, food, and live entertainment on weekend mornings.

AUGUST:

 First Fridays – Shops in Palm Springs' Uptown Heritage Galleries and Antique District hold open house.

 Idyllwild Jazz in the Pines – An outdoor jazz concert in the mountainous forests of Idyllwild that is held in the grassy amphitheatre.

SEPTEMBER:

 Cinema Diverse – Film programs including features, documentaries and shorts that showcase the best in LGBT filmmaking.

 Palm Springs International Festival of Short Films – Hundreds of short films are screened at the Camelot Theatres.

OCTOBER:

 International Hispanic Film Festival of Palm Springs – The Camelot Theatre host screenings of Hispanic-themed films.

 American Heat Palm Springs Bike Weekend – Major streets are closed for this annual congregation of bikers over a weekend of festivities.

 Desert AIDS Walk – This fundraiser benefits the Desert AIDS project and includes activities and entertainment through out the day.

 Tram Road Challenge – Runners & Walkers from all ages and from all around the world take part in a 6k uphill run/walk

 Agua Caliente Cultural Museum Dinner in the Canyons – A social event at the Andreas Canyon that includes dinner, dancing, music, and a silent auction all in benefit of the Agua Caliente Cultural Museum,

 The Berger Foundation's Howl-O-Ween – Contests, a parade, live music, pumpkin bowling, and harvest BBQ are among the many things to take place at the Living Desert.

NOVEMBER:

 Greater Palm Springs Pride – The GLBT community pride celebration that attracts over 1000 visitors for the parade and the festival at the Palm Springs Stadium.

 The Fabulous Palm Springs Follies season opening – Features internationally known guest stars, hilarious variety acts, and their legendary line of chorus girls.

 Palm Desert Golf Cart Parade – The world-renowned parade features decorated electric golf cars, marching bands, celebrities, and local dignitaries coming together for a day of fun.

 Rancho Mirage Art Affair – Held at Whitewater Park, this two-day show juries world-class artists, along with fine food, jazz and sunshine.

 Dennis James Celebrity Golf Classic – United Cerebral Palsy host this classic in which people of the community play golf with celebrities, along with live entertainment and an auction.

 Keith McCormick's Palm Springs Exotic Car Show & Auction – The Spa Resort & Casino will host a gathering all types of vehicles for sale and show.

 Living Desert Wildlights – A holiday safari that combines twinkling lights, lit holiday exhibits, and a host of activities with carousel rides, Prancer’s Playland, and discovery center crafts.

DECEMBER:

 Fred ‘The Hammer’ Williamson Celebrity Golf Tournament – Held at the Indian Canyons, this 2-day event brings celebrities from all fields together with locals for prizes, fine food, and a silent & live auction.

 Greater Palm Springs Celebrity Golf Classic – Rollie Fingers hosts this 4-day event filled with parties, contests, prizes, sponsors, and a little bit of golf with all money raised for the Palm Springs Youth Charities.

 Palm Springs Festival of Lights Parade – As the sunsets, downtown Palm Springs becomes a holiday gathering with a parade between Tamarisk and Ramon.

 Indio International Tamale Festival – Celebrating the rich heritage of the tamale, this festival kicks off the holiday season with a variety of events that bring the community together.

 Desert Big Band & Jazz Party – Local entertainment, including dapper big-band style high schoolers mesh with internationally renown artists who highlight the party.

 Winter Gathering Powwow – The Twenty-nine Palms Band of Mission Indians gathers at the Spotlight 29 Casino to display a spectacle for the senses that ushers in spring.
